COMPANY

LANES
Army directed requirement (ch 12 unit buys), Blue List (ch 01), OSC (ch 16)
BIGGEST MOVE
Up to $820M conditional OSC loan commitment, Jul 31, 2026
BUYER
Army PEO Aviation; Office of Strategic Capital
Starting point
A U.S. maker of company-level small drones (the C-100), already on the Blue list.
Path through the lanes
SEP 11, 2024 Army selects the C-100 and Anduril's Ghost X for the Company-Level Small UAS Directed Requirement, Tranche 1, $14.417M, through a Defense Logistics Agency 10-year IDIQ. DIU added funding; both drones were Blue-listed; selection came within five months of the sources-sought notice (army.mil).
JUL 31, 2026 OSC announces a conditional loan commitment of up to $820M for high-volume drone component manufacturing; financial close still depends on due diligence (war.gov).
What a founder can copy
Use an existing contract vehicle the buyer already has (here, a Defense Logistics Agency IDIQ) so a fast requirement can become an order. Then turn proven demand into a capital case for production.
What this means for you
The Army bought Blue-listed drones and went from sources-sought notice to selection in five months.
Next step: Get Blue-listed before the notice drops, and keep a production plan ready for when OSC opens a window.
