Step 1 of 5

What best describes your company?

Choose your stage and product, then continue through the guide. Free and public; no company name or email needed.

Suggestions are starting points, not eligibility decisions.

1 · How ready is your product?
2 · What do you sell?
Your starting point

Choose your stage and product

Choose both a stage and a product to continue.

Next: understand who uses, decides, funds and signs. Then explore the paths that may fit your company and finish with your 30/60/90 roadmap.

Who actually buys

Find the four names

"The government" is not one customer. Four different people usually touch a drone purchase. Founders who pitch only one of them stall.

1 · MONEY

Budget owners

Congress funds specific budget lines. DRPM-UxS now oversees almost every drone and counter-drone line. Money that is only "requested" is not real yet.

2 · DECIDES

Program Managers

Write requirements and choose solutions. Since July 2025, O-6 commanders can buy small drones for their units. Hubs run events that feed decisions.

3 · SIGNS

Contracting Officer

Only a CO can commit the government (FAR 1.602-1). Ask the CO process questions. Don't expect a tech judgment.

4 · USES

Warfighters and units

On the Army Drone Marketplace they rate products like shoppers on Amazon. That feedback flows back to the program office.
